How much are the shipping costs?
The shipping costs for the USA, Canada and Australia will be 25€. For Europe it is 15€ and for Germany 5€. For all other countries it costs 50€. We also add the option of a cheaper, but more risky shipping method for the countries with 50€ shipping. 25€ without tracking and insurance. Nevertheless we work on a more cheaper and safer shipping for the countries with 50€.

Is the shipping to Switzerland really 50€?
No, this is a mistake, it is 15€. I was not able to change that at the student pledge level, so I asked KS about it. There is no easy way to reverse this, we can only offer you the following: 1. You add add-ons later in BackerKit for 35€ 2. you reduce your pledge by 35€ and we only charge you 15€ for shipping.

How can I order more Spheres or an extra Base?
We plan to use BackerKit after our campaign. There you can order all additional products like bases, LED base plates, the Pocket Milky Way or additional spheres. Also, you can mix all of our products. We will explain how this works exactly in another update with the name “BackerKit explained” or something similar.

I want to double my order and purchase add-ons. How do I do this?
You can update your reward and pledge amount at any time by totaling the amount corresponding to the items you want. If you have already pledged to the campaign, there will be a green “Manage My Pledge” button near the top of the page to change your pledge amount. After the campaign, you will be sent a BackerKit survey asking you to confirm your pledge, mailing address and you will be able to select all the products you want.

What kind of materials will the 3D-printed bases be made of?
There are many different materials possible, from colorful plastic over solid steel to precious gold and silver. The last time we had a lot to do with the packing of 300 different variations, which did cost time and nerves. This time, we think about new ways so it might be possible, that the bases you choose in BackerKit will be sent separately by Shapeways, because they also produce in the US, so we could save time and resources.

How much is the Pocket Milky Way?
The costs of the Pocket Milky Way is 10€ and the shipping will be 5€, including a shipment for up to 10 Pocket Milky Ways.
Last updated: March 30, 2018 09:00
How do you know if I ordered a Pocket Milky Way or a LED Base Plate if both cost 10€?
Through Kickstarter it is actually not possible, therefore we decided to use BackerKit. After our campaign you will get a survey email with a login to BackerKit. There you can manage all your rewards, purchase add-ons if wanted and transmit your mailing address.

How does the LED Base Plate work?
The LED Base Plate has a white led and different color changing color sets that can be stopped at any time. With the left button you can switch the light on and off (once more for changing the color set) and with the right button you can stop the light. You can also specify the brightness of the white led. The middle button is not an actual button, it is a plug for a power supply, which we want to offer on BackerKit later on.

Can we get a power supply for the led base plate?
We already ordered some variations of power supplies to test them. Our best choice right now is a USB-power supply cable, that would fit on every computer, but it has 5V instead of 4.5V. Now we need to figure out if it is save to use or if there is a better option.

Are you going to offer a rotating LED Base Plate?
At the moment we don’t offer rotating LED Base. The one we used for the video is quite affordable but too loud to let it run all the time. None of the less we evaluate, if we can make it possible to offer it as an add-on.

Will you add a cleaning wipe to the Spheres?
At the moment we negotiate with some companies, so yes, we hope you will get a tissue with our logo to clean your Spheres

Will there be a discount for the previous backer?
Sorry, but we have not planned to give a discount. What we have planned is to add a small gift for our loyal backer into each package.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
